2025 WILD RULES

All dancer ages are determined as of September 1st, 2025. For example, for events taking place in November 2025, dancers will be considered as of September 1st, 2025.

Age divisions are as follows:

Level	Ages as of September 1st, 2025
Wild Child  *in applicable cities	8 & under
Juniors	9-11
Teens	12-14
Seniors	15-19

 

• Dancers may choose to take classes in other age divisions, but they must be registered in their correct age division for the event.
• To be eligible for scholarships and apprenticeships, dancers must be in their age-appropriate room (as of September 1st, 2025).
• Level changes can only be made after the first class of the day and must be processed through the WILD Dance Intensive registration desk.
• At the discretion of the studio, an 8-year-old may be moved into the Junior Room. This change requires registration on-site and payment of the Junior Room fee in full for eligibility in scholarships and apprenticeships.
• WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary.

Wild Child Dancers:

In select cities, WILD Dance Intensive offers a unique experience for young dancers through the Wild Child program. This program provides a modified schedule for young dancers while still offering a full day of dance. Wild Child dancers will not be eligible for scholarships or WILD ICON. However, in cities where the Wild Child and Junior Rooms are combined, all dancers in the room (regardless of age) will be eligible for scholarships and WILD ICON.

Registration:

• Registration for all WILD Dance Intensive events must be completed online. Faxed, phone, or email registrations will not be accepted.
• Day-of-event registration is at the discretion of the WILD Team.
• Payments must be made via credit card or electronic check; cash and personal checks will not be accepted.
• Changes or add-ons to registration must be completed by the Wednesday before the event.
• No refunds will be issued once an event has started. If a refund is requested before the event, it will be at the discretion of the WILD Team, who may offer a credit for future SDA events.
• WILD Dance Intensive welcomes independent dancers at all events.
• To redeem a WILD Dance Intensive scholarship from a previous Star Dance Alliance event, please email a photo of the scholarship 10 days prior to the event. If you’re redeeming the scholarship at the door, the physical scholarship must be presented.
• WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to increase registration fees for day-of registrations.

Observation Bands:

• Parents of registered dancers may observe classes if they have purchased an observation band. These can be bought during online registration or at the event.
• Observation bands are not required to attend and watch the opening or finale performances.
• Observation bands must be kept visible at all times during class.
• WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to limit the number of observation bands sold at any event due to space limitations.
• Please keep noise to a minimum while observing, as excessive noise can be distracting to dancers and faculty.
• WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to revoke observation privileges at any time.

Schedules are subject to change based on registration and venue availability.

Wild Child Classes:

• Wild Child dancers will not participate in the finale but are welcome to watch and cheer on the other dancers.
• Dancers will learn a combination in their Scholarship Audition Class, which will be performed during the finale by other dancers. 
• To be eligible for scholarships and WILD ICON, dancers must be in their age-appropriate (as of September 1st, 2025) room.

Scholarships and WILD ICON:

• WILD Dance Intensive is proud to offer thousands of dollars in scholarships at each event.
• Dancers in the Junior, Teen, and Senior age levels are eligible for scholarships.
• Dancers registered in the Junior, Teen, and Senior rooms are also eligible to be selected as a WILD ICON by the WILD faculty. WILD ICONs receive free tuition for the following season of WILD Dance Intensive.
• Wristbands are no longer required for ICON eligibility.
• ICON dancers are responsible for their own transportation and lodging expenses.
