2024 WILD RULES

Age Divisions:
All intensive ages will be as of September 1st, 2024. For example, the ages for December 2024 events will be as of September 1st, 2024.

Age divisions will be as follows:

Level	Ages as of September 1st, 2024
Wild Child *in applicable cities*	8 & under
Juniors	9-11
Teens	12-14
Seniors	15-19

A dancer may choose to take classes in other age divisions, however, the dancer must be registered in the correct age division for the event. To be eligible for scholarships and apprenticeships, dancers must be in their age appropriate (as of September 1st, 2024) room.

Level changes can be made after the first class of the day. This can only be done by seeing the WILD Dance Intensive registration desk.

At the discretion of the studio, an 8-year-old can be moved into the Junior Room. This will need to go through registration, on-site, and the full price of the

***WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to combine age levels when necessary.

Wild Child Dancers:

• In select cities, WILD Dance Intensive offers a WILD experience for young dancers! The WILD Child Room is designed to offer young dancers a unique experience with a modified schedule while providing the dancers with a full day of dance. Wild Child dancers will not be eligible for scholarships or ICON. In cities, where the Wild Child Room and Junior Room are combined, all dancers in the room, regardless of level, will be eligible for scholarships and apprenticeships.

Registration:

• Registration for all WILD Dance Intensive events must be done online. No faxed, phone or email registration will be accepted. The day of event registration will be at the discretion of the WILD Team.

• Payments must be via credit card or electronic check. No cash or checks will be accepted.

• Any registration changes and/or add-ons must be made the Wednesday prior to the event.

• No refunds will be issued once an event has started. If a refund is being requested, prior to an event, it is at the WILD Teams discretion if a refund will be issued.

• WILD Dance Intensive welcomes Independent dancers at all events!

• In order to redeem WILD Dance Intensive scholarships that have been awarded at previous Star Dance Alliance events, please email a photo of individual scholarships 10 days prior to an event. If using a scholarship on the day of registration, the scholarship must be present in order to redeem at the door.

***WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to increase registration fees at the door for the day of registration.

Observation Bands:

Parents of registered dancers are able to observe classes throughout the day if they have purchased an observer band. Observer bands can be purchased during online registration, or at the door upon arriving at the event. Please note, the observer band price will increase onsite.

• Observation bands are not required to attend and watch the opening and finale.

• WILD Dance Intensive asks that observation bands remain visible at all times throughout classes.

• WILD Dance Intensive reserves the right to limit observation bands sold at any event due to space concerns in the ballrooms. This is subject to attendance and space limitations.

• The WILD Dance Intensive team asks that observers limit noise as this can be distracting to the dancers and faculty during class.

***The WILD Dance Intensive team reserves the right to revoke observation rights under any circumstance.

• Dancers registered in the Wild Child program will not participate in the Finale. All Wild Child dancers are welcome to watch and cheer on dancers performing in the Finale!

• Dancers will learn a combination in a select style during their scholarship audition class. This combination will be performed by all dancers during the finale.

*To be eligible for scholarships and ICON, dancers must be in their age appropriate (as of September 1st, 2023) room.

Scholarships and ICON:

WILD Dance Intensive is a proud member of the Star Dance Alliance. The WILD Dance Intensive proudly awards thousands of dollars in scholarships at each event. Dancers in the Junior, Teen, and Senior age levels are eligible to be awarded scholarships. All dancers registered in the Junior, Teen, and Senior room are eligible to be selected (by Wild Faculty) as a WILD ICON! Any dancers chosen as a WILD ICON, will receive free tuition to the following season of Wild Dance Intensive.

* Wristbands are no longer required for ICON eligibility.

* ICON dancers are responsible for their own transportation and lodging expenses.
